On March 31st, April 1st and 2nd, during the 41st Comic BarcelonaIn addition to all the activities carried out by Joso, we also had the honor of presenting the Visions of Tomorrow exhibition.
The people attending the event were able to enjoy this sample of the work of the five artists selected in the first open call from Comic Art Europe.
Visions of Tomorrow is the result of a curious reflection on the events and problems of today, arising from the experience and experiences of the five artists from five different countries (Scotland, Portugal, France, Germany and Romania).
They are Karrie Fransmanwhich focuses on the concept of utopia, Meikel Mathiasreflecting on conspiracy theories, Filipa Beleza and the irony of youth, Maria Surdukan with her review on fairy tales and Marine des Mazery with the ecological struggle.
In order to realize this work, the five artists did their residencies in Lyon, Kendal, Brussels and Barcelona.

Visions of Tomorrow will join the new exhibition of Comic Art Europe, Living Togetherwhere Bernard Hage, Eva Pavlic, James Albon, Silvia Ballart and Stepánka Jislová reflect his way of seeing the concept of living together in the context of the modern world through true stories or fictional creations. This new exhibition will be on view for the first time at the Lyon BD Festival this June.
As you already know, Comic Art Europe is an initiative formed by four entities from four different countries: Joso School, Lyon BD, Lakes International Comic Art Festival and the Centre Belge de la Bande Dessinée.
