If you have previous training in drawing, a basic knowledge of digital illustration tools and you want to direct your professional career mainly towards audiovisual media, the Advanced course in Drawing, Narrative and Digital Illustration is the perfect way to achieve it.
This course is specially designed to give you the necessary tools to continue training in the field of drawing and illustration, with the clear objective of helping you to achieve the professional future you want.
One more step to increase your knowledge and achieve your goals.

Course objectives

The Advanced course of Drawing, Narrative and Digital Illustration aims to expand your knowledge to direct your professional career mainly to industries such as film, advertising and video games.

From the sketch to the final finish, going through all the phases, you will build your drawings strengthening each of the processes with new concepts.
You will create characters and their environment, integrating expressive elements such as the line of action or acting in the figures.

You will apply new concepts that will help you improve both quality and productivity, such as speedpainting.
You will assimilate a better understanding of volumes and perspective by integrating 2D and 3D.

You will approach the professional sector by creating your portfolio and learning how to develop a speech that defends and consolidates your final project, applying the right marketing and perfecting the design and layout.

The advanced course of Drawing, Narrative and Digital Illustration has as purpose that the student finds depth in different techniques of representation, improve in the practice of drawing and expand their knowledge and techniques of digital illustration.

STRUCTURAL DRAWING

  • Construction, definition and understanding of the human figure and its volumes.
  • Diversification of materials for sketching.
    (pencil, ink, pen, markers, sanguine, etc.).
  • Application of the content in a natural model.

GESTURAL DRAWING

  • Expressive elements: the line of action, the acting of the figures and the dynamism in the poses.
  • Gain agility and fluency in fast and spontaneous strokes.
  • Work on these concepts in the movement and acting model class.

ENVIRONMENT DRAWING

  • Composition and narrative in illustration using backgrounds and characters.
  • Introduction of color as an atmospheric and narrative element.
  • FINISHING
    Work on the last aspects of the improvement and finishing
    always focused on what has been learned and developed during the year with the intention of making keyshots and illustrations that can be added to the dossier of each student also introducing the use of finishing techniques such as watercolor or India ink.

SPEEDPAINTING

  • Techniques, Tools, Composition.
  • Correct application of practical concepts, improvement of
    composition capacity, improvement of speed and performance.

PROPS AND ASSETS

  • Review of basic digital illustration processes:
  • Rendering and finishing techniques.

CHARACTER DESIGN

  • Silhouettes and gesture, color, communication and narrative in design.
  • Rendering techniques

PORTRAIT

  • Anatomy and facial expression:
  • Correct application of theoretical concepts, polishing and finishing in facial expression and character registration.
  • Rendering techniques.

FLORA AND FAUNA

  • Animal anatomy.
    Application of design tools according to biology and contextualization.
  • Rendering techniques.

ARCHITECTURE

  • Optimal application of concepts, work methodology and image organization.
  • Integration of 2D+3D, construction of a setting (Box modeling) for a better understanding of volumes and perspective.

SCENERY AND ENVIRONMENTS

  • Space work, rendering techniques and digital perspective
  • 2D+3D integration
    Application of lighting in environments.

SPLASH ART

  • Application of the theoretical and practical concepts of the course, integration of figures and backgrounds in the scene.
  • Final summary of course contents and their application in the student's personal projects.
  • Defense and consolidation of the final course project and the work process carried out during the course.
  • Project marketing.
  • Improvement of the design, layout and polishing of the final project.

DURATION OF THE COURSE
9 month course.
From October to June.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
from 16 to 20h.
REGISTRATION
Selection of students through personal interview and portfolio. For access to the course, knowledge acquired through previous academic or self-taught training will be valued.
QUALIFICATION
The center's own diploma awarded at the end of the Advanced Drawing, Art and Digital Illustration course.

El acceso a los cursos de Art Grafic, Ilustración, Concept Art, Iniciación al DibujoDibujo Avanzado e Ilustración digital es a través de la realización de una prueba de nivel.

Para acceder a estos cursos no es necesario tener estudios previos aunque se valorará el haber realizado estudios artísticos superiores.

El acceso al curso de Art Grafic es a través de una prueba de nivel que consiste en realizar un dibujo siguiendo unas pautas.
Normalmente, la prueba se realiza durante el mes de abril y suele haber dos convocatorias.
La corrección y notificación de resultados se comunican más o menos unos 10 días después de realizar la prueba. En el caso de no pasar la prueba, nuestro equipo de coordinación de cursos te orientará para acceder a otros cursos.


El acceso a los cursos de Concept Art e Ilustración también es a través de una prueba de nivel. En el caso de no pasar la prueba, nuestro equipo de coordinación de cursos te orientará para que puedas seguir formándote con nosotros para llegar a tus objetivos.


El acceso al curso de Animación es a través de una entrevista con entrega de book con el coordinador del curso Juan Carlos Concha. Será necesario un book específico.


El acceso al curso de Ilustración Infantil es a través de una entrevista con el jefe de estudios José Ma Polls. Será necesario la presentación de un book.

En ese caso, no te preocupes. Podemos organizar la entrevista de forma online. También ofrecemos la posibilidad de hacer la prueba de nivel para el curso de Art Grafic mediante esta vía. (Exclusivo para aquellas persona que les es imposible realizarla en formato presencial).

Normalmente, cada año, durante el mes de marzo, realizamos unas sesiones de puertas abiertas para informar de todo lo relacionado con nuestros cursos. 

Además, puedes venir a pedir información y a visitar la escuela dentro de nuestro horario e nuestro horario de lunes a viernes de 9 a 13.30h y de 16 a 20h. y sábados de octubre a junio de 10 a 14h.

Estaremos encantados de atenderte.

A partir del mes de abril arranca nuestro periodo de inscripción para los cursos anuales y de verano.

Por supuesto. Una vez hayas pasado el proceso de inscripción y de matriculación, te haremos llegar un certificado para que puedas gestionar el visado de estudiante.

Se imparten, principalmente, en castellano. Tenemos alumnxs de todas partes del mundo.

El material didáctico y el papel utilizado en clase será entregado por el profesorado, pero el material individual lo tendrá que traer el/la alumnx.

Cada año en el mes de julio, realizamos los cursos de verano durante 4 semanas en el mes de julio.

La gran mayoría de estos cursos son iniciales, aunque también realizamos algunos cursos específicos en el que se requiere cierto nivel.
