The Department of Culture of the City Council of Aspe, in collaboration with Editorial Degomagom, announces the I Miguel Calatayud Illustrated Album Award.
Villa de Aspe, in order to encourage creation in the field of illustration.
All writers and illustrators from 18 years of age without distinction of place of origin or residence, who submit a work in Spanish language may participate.
The work must have a minimum length of 32 pages and a maximum length of 44 pages (including flyleaves).
The project submitted must be aimed at children and young people.
The works, which must be unpublished, may not have been awarded in any other contest.
They may not be awaiting a decision in any other contest.
The winning work will receive a single prize of €6,000 and the publication of the winning work.
The prize will be shared between the illustrator and the writer if they present a joint work.
Each author must submit 3 copies of the complete text (if available); color reproduction of 3 original and definitive illustrations, and a draft mock-up including a sketch of the finished work, which should be as faithful as possible to the final result of the album.
