Ubisoft invites students from Joso’s professional courses of Concept Art and Animation for 2D and 3D Acting to its facilities.

The large video game developer and distributor invited us to visit their facilities and reviewed portfolios and work!

Last Tuesday, March 26th, Cloe Navinés (Animation for Acting 2D and 3D) and Judit Segura, Lucía Varona, Mireia Gordon and Laura Lobato (Concept Art) had the opportunity to visit the facilities in Barcelona of Ubisoft, the great developer and distributor of video games.

Under the pretext of Women’s Day, the Ubisoft team wanted to organize this meeting with female students who, in addition to having great talent and an incredible attitude, we have no doubt that they will also have a great future in the video game industry, animation and in the media and entertainment.

The world of videogame creation -like so many others, it must also be said- has been mostly made up of men. During the last few years we have noticed a change in this trend. –Hello, 21st century society, how are you doing with the evolution and so on? A little slower so you don’t get stressed? (note the sarcasm in this cordial greeting). Ubisoft wanted to encourage the breaking down of gender barriers by meeting Cloe, Judit, Lucia, Mireia and Laura.

During the visit, the five Joso students, accompanied by Juan Carlos Concha, coordinator of the professional courses of Animation for 2D and 3D Acting and Concept Art, were amazed by the atmosphere. “I want to live there,” Cloe Navinés tells us, accompanying her plea with a tremendous look of happiness on her face.

The Ubisoft professionals reviewed the portfolios and some of the girls’ work. “I’m still learning, but the advice they gave me is worth gold. It’s great to be able to receive this feedback from people who are dedicated to what I want to dedicate myself to.” So Judit Segura told us.

All in all, this visit was a great experience for the Joso students and a very good initiative by Ubisoft.

Thank you for opening the doors of your home!
