Course definition and objectives

Drawing and graphic narrative have long been walking hand in hand in different creative fields, opening paths in different sectors in the art of consumption.

The introductory course is the first step for those who aspire to turn drawing not only as a form of personal expression but also as a future profession, a prologue course that aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge that will allow them to take a higher step in their training itinerary.

Content distribution

The course is divided into five subjects that complement each other and aim to create an environment of personal and artistic growth for the student.
The basics of drawing become the main vehicle that should provide the student with the necessary tools to face future educational challenges.

This course is strongly committed to drawing in its different aspects and manifestations, both from the point of view of the construction of the figure and anatomy, as well as spatial understanding and perspective, which are the two pillars on which the future artist will be built.
The learning process is completed with the presentation of different techniques and complementary procedures, such as ink, composition, design, Art History, Illustration and Comic.

Registration

No admission test is required prior to enrollment.

Duration

A 9-month course.

October to June.

Monday to Friday from 16 to 20h.

Itinerary

Upon successful completion of the course, the student’s possible itineraries within the different courses offered by the school will be evaluated.

It is not necessary to have previous studies since, the access to some courses such as Art Grafic, is assessed through a level test or with an interview with delivery of book.
This also occurs in the Illustration course, in Children Illustration, in Animation and in Concept Art.

In the case of having higher artistic studies, it will also be taken into account.

Access to the Art Grafic course is through a level test that consists of making a drawing following some guidelines.

Normally, the test is held during the month of April and there are two convocations.

Correction and notification of results are communicated about a week after the test is taken.
In the event that you do not pass the test, our course coordination team will guide you.

The access to the Illustration and Children’s Illustration courses is through an informative interview with the Head of Studies, where you must bring a small portfolio in order to assess your level and access to the course.
In this interview you will be able to solve any doubt about the courses, programs and objectives.

The access to the Animation course is through an interview with the course coordinator Juan Carlos Concha.
A specific book will be required.

Access to the Concept Art course is through an interview with the course coordinator Santi Casas.
A specific book will be required.

We also offer the possibility to take the level test for the Art Grafic course online.

Normally, every year, during the month of March, we hold open house sessions to inform about everything related to our courses.
These are currently held in online format.

You can also come to ask for information and visit the school during our opening hours from Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm and from 4.30 pm to 8 pm.

Our registration period for annual and summer courses starts in April.

Once you have passed the registration and enrollment process, we will send you a certificate so that you can apply for your student visa.

They are mainly taught in Spanish.
We have students from all over the world.

The didactic material and the paper used in class will be provided by the teacher, but the individual material will have to be brought by the student.

Every year in the month of July, we hold summer courses for 4 weeks in the month of July.

Most of these courses are beginners, although we also offer some specific courses where a certain level is required.
