Access to the course
Access to the Concept Art professional course will be through an in-person level test LEVEL TEST IN PERSON together with the presentation of a PERSONAL BOOK with work samples.

On-site test
The test will be conducted using only the school’s equipment, documentation and software provided by the school.

Book requirements
Applicants must submit their personal book on the day of the in-person test, indicating their contact information.
This book should consist of a selection of about 20 pages with samples of the applicant’s work, separated into two sections compiled in PDF format for viewing on screen, preferably no larger than 10 MB in size.
The book should have notes of models, landscapes, architectures, objects and animals.
They can be notes, studies and sketches, not necessarily finished works.
Quality and diversity in the choice of topics will be valued.
The diversity of techniques: pencil, graphite, ink, watercolor, etc… will also be positively valued.
In this section of the book, applicants are expected to include their most relevant work.
These should be finished works and preferably in color. The inclusion of examples of character and environment designs, as well as objects, vehicles… will be an asset.
This section may include works for other media, such as digital and 3D sculpture, graphic design or animation.
You can use the following examples as a reference for your book (quantities are indicative)
– 3 pages of natural model notes:
2 to 4 drawings per page.
– 2 pages of animal sketches:
2 to 4 drawings per page.
– 2 pages of architectural sketches:
from 2 to 4 drawings per page.
– 2 pages of object sketches:
from 2 to 4 drawings per page.
– 2 pages of compositions with a mixture of figure and landscape.
– 2 pages of character design.
– 2 pages of scenery and object design.
– 5 pages of complete illustrations:
Up to 3 depending on the format.

Registration for the on-site test

Fill in all the fields in the form below to register for the entrance exam and submit your Book.
Test results will be given via phone call and email on May 8 and 9.
For those admitted to the course, the reservation period will be from May 10 to 21 in order of enrollment until all places are available.
A SECOND CALL FOR APPLICATIONS WILL BE HELD IN THE EVENT THAT THE NUMBER OF PLACES IS NOT FILLED.
All those candidates who do not get access to the course may request an interview with the head of studies of Escola JOSO to assess other training options.
